From a young age I have let curiosity lead my life. Off course this creates some bruises, differences in opinion or even disappointment. But most of all it gave me insight, knowledge and energy.
That same curiosity let to the EurAsia CabrioChallenge 2007, an answer to the question, how far can you go while driving, about where is that boundary and about where is the boundary of our imagination. And obviously in a car that helps you to feel all surroundings to the t: a convertible. It was an unforgettable challenge, something that hadn’t been done before by mankind; drive from Amsterdam to Singapore. A long swirl, where I hardly gave myself the rest to see all the landscapes, cultures and faces.
But this curiosity also let to the NorCape CabrioChallenge. What would it be like in the middle of winter at the most northern part of Europe? What would it be like with temperatures for below zero in a convertible car? Would it be doable? Would it have ever been done before?
What definately had never been done before was the LatAm CabrioChallenge. Straight through the Amazone, over the Andes to the most southern city in the world, Ushuaia. And yes, again with a convertible.
I take pride in the fact that I can share my adventures with other people, take them with me in experiencing the impossible or the very rare.
